We make our own custom wood hoops using White Oak wood.  Oak is much harder than Maple and will stand up to rim shots and cross-sticking.  We precision level the inside of the hoop for better tuning.  Our hoops are the same height over the drum head as a standard triple-flange chrome hoop, so you don’t have to change your stick angle if you switch to these.

Our wood hoops are 8mm thick and we offer them in:

Vintage Style – which allows the aluminum collar of the drum head to show, and
Cover Hoop – in which the outer layer covers the collar.
Although our hoops are made from White Oak, they are also available with a Maple cover layer, so that you can better match the stains or paint finishes to the bass-drum hoop.

We also offer standard triple-flange chrome hoops. Available in Chrome, Brass, and Black Chrome finishes.

Die Cast hoops are also available. We generally use the Tama StarClassic style, because they are made from magnesium, making them very lightweight.  They are also very precisely crafted, for excellent tuning.

Claws

For our wood hoops, we use the “mini-claw” from Precision Drum Company.
For bass hoops, we offer all the standard varieties of claws and will special order as necessary.
