Our Top Hat Lugs
Our signature lug is the essence of simplicity. Machined from aircraft grade aluminum and double plated with Nickel and Chrome to resist thread damage and wear, these lugs are the lightest weight of anything we’ve seen. The small footprint and single post construction preserve the true pitch of any drum. Easy to install, each lug is supplied with a spacing washer, backing washer and attachment screw. We suggest using a #10 Step Drill for mounting our lugs to your shell.
Other Fine Lugs We Offer
We offer vintage tube lugs, which are a standard in the industry, sought after for their aesthetic appeal and mechanical strength and stability. Available in chrome, black and brass/gold finishes.
We also offer the die-cast Slingerland style lug, which has a great old-school look that is always familiar. Available in chrome, black and brass/gold finishes.
Custom Lugs and Colors
If there is a particular lug style you are interested in and you don’t see it represented in our gallery, please let us know so we can make arrangements to acquire samples. We also offer custom finishes on all of our metal hardware. Powder, Anodized, and other coatings, as well as a huge array of colors, can be applied to the hardware of your choice for a truly customized look.
Throw Offs
We currently offer the Trick throw-off in black anodize and brushed aluminum. These are the best quality throw-offs currently available.
Wires
We use a German Steel snare wire, because it is among the highest quality snare wires on the market. You may find (with some experimentation) that a custom set of wires will enhance your sound. Experiment with as many options as you can. Everyone has a different take on what their sound needs to be.
Hangers
We don’t mount toms on our bass drums. Therefore, we recommend hanging the toms on combo stands. Standard rim-style hangers are available for use with all of our toms.. Tama StarClassic Die Cast hoops are available with integral hanger bolts. These are the most stable tom hangers on the market and, since they are made out of magnesium, they are lightweight and easy to transport.
Legs
Floor toms sound best when resting on a cradle. However, we will put toms on legs if requested.
Spurs
Standard and heavy-duty spurs are available for all bass drums.
Breathers
Chrome breathers come standard on all toms and snares.
Heads
Remo Ambassador coated heads come standard on all drums. Heads make a huge difference in the sound of the drum, so plan on experimenting until you find the perfect combination.
